“… at least with Paul, they know what they’re getting, a consistent civil libertarian. … They know the same can’t be said of president Obama. Furthermore, isn’t compromise part of getting things done in Washington D.C.?  It’s certainly better to get part of your agenda through Congress rather than none of it. … If another Republican takes the White House, liberals can say farewell to the possibility of ending the drug war or the paranoia over gay marriage. If Obama wins reelection, they get more of the same. America will continue fighting unnecessary wars, prosecuting drug use and trampling on civil liberties.” [ Read More... ]

I’m a progressive Democrat, union member, and tax payer in NH. I would never vote for an extremist like Ron Paul. It baffles me that Libertarians state they are for civil liberties of Americans, except in certain situations. These situations include women’s reproductive rights and working Americans rights to organize and participate in unions to protect their rights as workers. To me, this leaves little room for discourse; either you are for civil liberties of all Americans or you are not. It appears that the Libertarians refute the AFL-CIO in NH and are not in agreement with a union that supports- of all things-civil liberties. This is suspicious to me. I regard the Libertarian movement and the Free State movement in cohort with the Tea Party . Both are alligned with conservative right wing dialect and agenda. There is nothing promising about Love and revolution here. Young people have been misinformed as to what the Ron Paul message is all about. As a true Democrat I would never endorse Ron Paul. He is a fiscal conservative opposed to worker’s rights to earn decent wages.. If he is on the side of corporate greed and banking bailout on Wall St. he is no friend to the Democrats. Ron Paul should be exposed for what he really represents. And Democrats shouldn’t be “told” to vote for him. Good luck.

You should read more articles on this website. You’ll find that most of your assumptions are incorrect.

I totally agree with you – despite his platform and general outlook among voters, Ron Paul is the most pro-corporations candidate out there. No sensible, progressive Democrat would vote for this extremist right-winged *******. [boorish language redacted - ed.]

haha, Scott – you couldn’t be more wrong. Ron Paul wants to eliminate “corporate personhood” and all corporate welfare.

But, don’t believe him or me – go look on OpenSecrets to see which candidates are recieving the big corporate donations. “If Ron Paul would be good for corporations, why aren’t corporations supporting Ron Paul?”
